Medical Receptionist

Duties
- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments/manage office calendar
- Verify insurance coverage and collect patient information
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records system
- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing

Preferred skills:
- Previous experience working in a dental or medical office setting preferred
- Familiarity with phone systems and electronic medical records
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment

Our office has three full time physicians providing high quality, longitudinal care to our patients; it is not a high volume, low acuity walk in clinic. We pride ourselves in having both long term patients and staff that enjoy the busy but rewarding atmosphere of our office. Managing the phones in our clinic requires the receptionist to be able to multi-task, make rapid decisions and adjust quickly to changing information and circumstances. We are seeking a long term employee to join our team to replace a staff member who is retiring.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
