Medical Receptionist (Part-Time)

Our busy medical imaging clinic is looking to hire a Part-Time (Fixed Term) Medical Receptionist. We will be able to guarantee at least 22.5 hours per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) for one (1) year. The ideal candidate is comfortable with medical terminology, scheduling appointments, answering phones and greeting clients. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent command of the English language; written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Demonstrate ability to accurately type 40 WPM.
• Knowledge, experience and proficiency with computers; Meditech or other Radiology Information System (RIS) experience is preferred
• Medical imaging clinic experience preferred

REQUIREMENTS

• Provide a professional attitude and a positive image by receiving, processing and directing patients and visitors in a pleasant and courteous manner.
• Possess a cheerful, positive attitude and the ability to work effectively with others; both as a team and independently
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Responsible for receptionist duties as directed by the radiologists and the supervisor
• Responsible for maintaining accurate patient records
• Operate specific office equipment related to secretarial duties (i.e., computer, telephone, photocopier and fax machine, etc.)
• Coordinate appointments and reminder calls for patients
• Verification of patient demographics, and that it is accurate and complete
• Adhere to established policies, procedures and protocols
• Ensure patient reports are delivered, distributed and faxed expeditiously where applicable.
• Patient Confidentiality must be followed without exception.
• Perform other related duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor
