The job is Bi-Weekly, Mondays 8am-4:30pm and available hours Tuesdays 8am-12 noon for follow-up and completion.

```Job Summary```
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Clerk to join our team. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages. The ideal candidate has a strong background in payroll processing, is familiar with various payroll software systems, and has excellent attention to detail.

```Duties```
- Process payroll for employees using Ceridian payroll software

- Verify accuracy of timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies

- Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings accurately

- Prepare weekly Ceridian payroll reports for approval of payroll submission

- Prepare weekly Excel reports for Financial department

- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters and manage corrections

- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data in the payroll system

- Prepare ROE submissions when required

- Assist with year-end payroll activities, such as T-4 preparation and reporting

- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and best practices

```Skills```
To excel in this role, the Payroll Clerk should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll processes and procedures
- 3 Years of Canadian payroll experience and proficiency in using Ceridian payroll software systems
- 5 years experience with Simply Accounting software for data entry and reconciliation purposes
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies or errors
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees regarding payroll matters

```Requirements```

- Post Secondary Diploma in Business/Payroll/Accounting or related field (Preferred)

- Police Background Check - Current

- 3 Work References
