Established in 1973, Birnam Excavating Ltd. is a privately owned, family run company engaged in the sewer, watermain, roadbuilding and general contracting industry. Our work involves upgrading key infrastructure under the ground in addition to providing quality surface works, as well as mechanical systems, process works, water and wastewater and general infrastructure projects.
In your role as the Project Coordinator, your main goal is to complete a variety of duties, relating to the Civil Construction department. You will be a staunch advocate of Birnam, providing exceptional quality and service. Your primary focus will be supporting the Civil Construction side of the business while also completing daily dispatching on an interim basis. You will report to the Sr. Project Manager and will be an integral part of the office team here at Birnam.
The successful candidate will be responsible to perform a wide range of services, including but not limited to:
- Provide support for the civil construction team including the project managers, site supervisors, and estimators.
- Plan, manage and submit locate requests and maintain locate schedule.
- Responsible for daily dispatch of field staff, equipment, and trucks on an interim basis.
- Submit shop drawing(s) and product data to consultants for their review and monitor and follow up with consultants on the status of review and return of shop drawing (s) and product data.
- Distribute reviewed shop drawing(s) and product data to the suppliers, trades, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Providing administrative support to project managers.
- Perform such other duties and responsibilities for various operations as may be required and/or assigned.

Monday through Friday – 8:30AM to 4:30PM
