Project Coordinator-Commercial/Institutional Construction

Our well established General Contracting firm is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator for commercial and institutional building projects from bidding & procurement through project close-out. Shunda Construction has been building commercial, institutional, educational and senior’s residential projects throughout Alberta for over 45 years. We pride ourselves in our teamwork, commitment to safety, and providing the highest standards to achieve success in the work we do.

Our Project Coordinators are responsible for:

• Assist in ensuring projects meet targets and objectives of quality, safety and profitability.
• Prepare detailed reports, meeting minutes and other documents.
• Maintain positive relationships with all project stakeholders involved.
• Accumulate, assess, and document project data and forms.
• Coordinate with the project team including customers, architects and consultants, site superintendent and other field personnel, vendors, subcontractors, project accounting and project administration.
• Assist with all aspects of construction projects from pre-bid and contract negotiation through project close-out.

Our Project Coordinators have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in relevant area or a combination of education and experience
• Superior written and verbal communication skills with colleagues and clients of all levels
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Familiarity with construction documents
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable software
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a timely manner.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with computers and the ability to work with and learn new systems and technology.
