Role Description
We are currently searching for a Water Resources Project Engineer for our Edmonton, Alberta office. The successful candidate, for the position, will provide technical expertise on water resources projects including municipal infrastructure (water, sanitary, and stormwater projects), resource development, and river engineering projects. You will have direct involvement in all aspects of your projects from preparing proposals, managing projects, collecting and analyzing data, all levels of design including conceptual, detail, and construction, and preparing the final report. You will participate in studies, assessments, planning, and preliminary and detailed design projects for public and private sector clients. You will be involved in a mix of office and field work and you will be asked to develop and maintain relationships with clients.
Qualifications
- Expertise in water resource management, stormwater management, and hydrology
- Proficiency in conducting hydrological analysis and modeling
- Working knowledge of relevant software and tools (SWMM, ESRI software, GRASS, HEC-RAS, ArcMap, Mike Urban and Mike Urban+)
- Experience in stormwater planning and design
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Professional engineering license or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience in municipal infrastructure engineering is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Salary: $60,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
