We have an immediate opening for a Mechanical / Combustion Design Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) to join our Dynamic Project team. Position Summary

The Mechanical / Combustion Design E.I.T. will work within the INFRATECH Combustion divisions project team that designs and manufactures Incineration equipment out of our offices in Whitecourt, Alberta, Canada. This position will work closely with the Project and Manufacturing teams. Role and specific duties / responsibilities will be adjusted depending on previous experience and technical knowledge, with the possibility to grow and advance within the company.

Key Accountabilities may include:

• Utilization of a proprietary design program for the Custom sizing of Gas Waste Thermal Oxidizers to meet environmental regulations.
• Sizing of Solid Waste Incinerators for Municipal Waste, Camp Waste and Medical or Biomedical Waste.
• Assist in the creation and development of new Incinerator designs, layouts and capacities.
• Assist in the identification of Design deficiencies and recommending design solutions.
• Creation of Project Documentation on a per project basis, which may include redlining of Project Drawings for the Drafting department, Creation of Control Philosophies, Installation Operation and Maintenance Manuals, etc.
• Read and Interpret client specification documents to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with Project Manager, Draft persons and Electrical / Instrumentation Technicians for research and spec'ing out of electrical and fuel train components to ensure they meet the project requirements and the client project specifications.
• Participate in Project and Client meetings as may be required.

Required Knowledge, skills and Experience

• Excellent computer skills, including the use of Outlook, Word and Excel and the ability to learn new programs.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Inventor 3-Dimensional design software.
• Aptitude for visualizing in 3 Dimensions.
• Ability to communicate ideas and thoughts clearly in both Verbal and Written form.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.
• Ability to think on your feet, problem solve and come up with design solutions as required.
• University Degree in Engineering.
• Registration with APEGA as an E.I.T.
• Must be willing to relocate to Whitecourt, Alberta
