Receptionist

Applications are invited for the following position:

AREA: Community Options Adult

CLASSIFICATION: RECEPTIONIST – 1 PFT (75.00 Hrs Bi-Weekly).

POSITION SCOPE: Responsible to the Director of Community Options the Receptionist is responsible for working the telephone switchboard, greeting visitors and clients. Performs typing and other clerical duties. Responsible for sorting and distributing mail throughout the organization. Provides back-up and support in other areas as required. This is in accordance with the goals, mission, and philosophy of Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre (KRRC).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Operate switchboard to answer, screen and forward telephone calls as required.

· Operates public address system.

· Updates in/out board on intranet as required.

· Creates a welcoming environment by greeting guests, visitors and directs them to the appropriate area.

· Prepares out-going mail and sorts in-coming mail.

· Supports Clinical Records as required.

· Handles meal tickets, makes change and balances meal tickets with cash box.

· Participates in Inservice and staff development programs as appropriate.

· Maintains and posts updates to electronic information board.

· Maintains meeting room and vehicle bookings.

· Processes keys and maintains inventory of spare keys for the entire building.

· Reading fire panel for proper announcements during emergencies.

· Coordinates and logs taxi bookings for lab runs as required.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of post- secondary education with a focus on Applied Business Technology- Office Administration, or Business Administration or equivalent experience.

Salary: $17.46-$21.82 per hour
