Safety Coordinator

Duties
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training activities
- Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for employees on topics such as hazard communication, emergency response, and personal protective equipment
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices

Qualification
- 3-5 years Transportation experience
- Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA guidelines, and Workers Compensation laws
- Strong understanding of occupational health hazards and risk assessment techniques
- Proficient in report writing and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills

-Experience with WorkHub, Motive, Aimsio

-Experience with internal auditing

Note: Training development experience is a plus.
