ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Sales Administrator is responsible for accurate, detailed and timely data entry of sales order confirmations and associated purchase orders; for efficient, friendly and professional communication with Great Lakes Floral’s sales managers and with outside suppliers of floral product; and the preparation of customs related documentation for the export of plant material from Canada to the USA.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Contribute toward a constructive work environment through excellent interpersonal, team building skills and open communication
- Communicate with suppliers about inventory availability
- Data entry for sales orders to customers
- Data entry of purchase orders to suppliers
- Review and ensure the appropriate data, i.e. products, quantities, pricing, barcoding is entered into our ERP system, accurately and timely
- Administer seasonal pre-booked orders and credits.
- Collaborate with the sales team to streamline ordering from suppliers
- Complete invoices
- Prepare proper documentation for all local and cross-border shipments
- More sales responsibilities may be added
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated capacity to work with significant independence
- Strong service oriented
- Post-secondary education
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills -verbal and written including phone calls, emails & MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Administrative experience (in floral industry is not required but would be an asset)
- Experience with ERP systems is an asset
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Critical eye for details
- Comfortable with time pressures and deadlines
