Service Writer And Service Manager Assistant

We currently are offering an opportunity for a Full Time, On Premise Service Writer and Service Manager Assistant. The successful applicant should be motivated, organized, competent and a multi tasker. An existing knowledge of Farm Equipment and experience working agricultural mechanic is a definite asset but not a requirement. Computer experience required.

M&P Farm Equipment Ltd is a family owned, full service and retail outlet for Farm Equipment located just north of Carleton Place, Ontario. M&P Farm Equipment has been serving the community for 33 years and last year was the winner of the Consumer’s Choice Award for Customer Service Excellence. We are currently an authorized dealers for Deutz Fahr, McCormick and Branson/TYM tractors. Our hay equipment line up consists of Pottinger, McHale and Anderson. We have a complete selection of short line equipment stocking Horst loader attachments, Bush Hog products, Wallenstein, MK Martin, among others.

The Primary Duties of the Service Writer and Service Manager Assistant is to have knowledge and ability to perform as required the following duties:

· Create work orders both internal and Customer

· Assist with scheduling of service jobs

· Aid in technician job trouble shooting as required, which could include searching and printing Service information from various OEM sites.

· Creating quotes when required and communicating such with Customers

· Process completed Workorders for Service Manager Review

· Prepare for review and process all Warranty Claims in a timely manner

· To answer the Service phone in a friendly, professional and courteous manner

· Greet customers while they are on premise in a friendly, professional and courteous manner

· Performing all tasks in a safety conscious manner – this includes keeping work areas clean and tidy and wearing safety equipment as required.

· To commit to and participate in monthly Safety Training Courses

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Wages: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour Depending upon experience

Requirements:

· Current experience as an Agricultural Technician, experience in Agricultural parts or Service Writing an asset

· Able to lift up to 50 pounds

· Reliable, punctual and able to regularly and consistently attend work

· Basic computer, writing and math skills

· Read & write English, spoken French an asset

In house training supplied

Position is available Immediately

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $22.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
