About the Role
Working with customers, engineers, and internal departments to review and analyze product warranty data to improve product performance and reduce warranty costs. Scheduling regular VA/VE workshops with the internal team to pursue opportunities for cost reductions to offset customer giveback obligations. Provide regular reporting
Your Responsibilities
- Obtain customer’s warranty data from portals and update/maintain warranty database. Interpret customer verbatim and assign preliminary root cause, analyze results using pivot table to understand trends and identify top concerns.
- Access failure modes and customer concerns at the time of repair and maintain log. Request warranty return parts, track and document all returns.
- Lead cross functional teams to implement containment and corrective actions, and track break points to verify effectiveness.
- New Business quotes review, warranty data for similar parts and note any areas of concern. Establish and maintain Technical Factors for all warranty cost sharing.
- Schedule and lead regular VA/VE workshops and report progress to customers regularly. Perform Benchmarking activities.
- Any other reasonable duties as requested by Management
Who we are looking for
- Post-Secondary Degree in Engineering or related field preferred or strong technical background.
- Product design training (3 – 5 years of diversified design experience) or equivalent work experience.
- 2 – 3 years minimum experience in the automotive industry.
- Well-developed communication, organizational, interpersonal and analytical abilities
- Sound computer skills, including knowledge of software in current use
- Understanding of lean manufacturing, an asset

Candidates will be required to complete a Criminal Records Check and, if deemed necessary, a Credit Check as part of the candidate selection process.
