Accounts Payable Coordinator

Accounts Payable Coordinator – 6 month contract
We’re hiring for an Accounts Payable Coordinator to temporarily expand their team while the introduce new software. You will be working in a general Accounts Payable function during this time in a hybrid capacity.
$21.63-$23.07 hourly depending on experience.

What do you need to do

• Process invoices: sort, obtain approval for payment, match, code and allocate payment accordingly.
• Research discrepancies or missing documentation to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner.
• Establish new vendors and enter and upload invoices and expenses into accounting software.
• Process and distribute the monthly vendor statements and assist in the month-end process
• Process cheque runs on a weekly basis and reconciliation of complex vendor statements.
• Any other duties as may reasonably be required.

What are we looking for

• College Diploma / Business certificate in accounting.
• Minimum of2 years' experience working in Accounts Payable.
• A high degree of computer proficiency.
• Previous experience with a recognized accounting system is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Provide team support and willing to assist and provide backup for colleagues, when required.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities successfully, while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to deal efficiently and accurately with a large volume of payables.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and sound business judgment.
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
