BBE is seeking an Accounts Payable Technician to join the Accounting team! As an integral member of the accounting team, you will ensure BBE’s payable invoices are processed accurately and effectively. You must be customer service orientated as you will collaborating with vendors, fellow employees, and operational staff. You are a change agent for improvement by collaborating across departments ensuring revenue, pricing, rating, and administrative activities align with BBE’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with vendors regarding missing invoices and payment status.
- Manage many payables functions including (but not limited to):
- Search internal operational systems for information on invoices.
- Send and process invoices in Document Capture system.
- Code and follow up on invoices.
- Follow up on un-approved invoices.
- Reconcile vendor statements.
- Set up payment batches.
- Ensure internal control of all payable’s functions.
- Ensure all AP approvals are coded and processed in a timely manner.
- Reconcile AP statements.
- New vendors, clients, and jobs set-up.
- Process weekly payment runs.
- Open and distribute mail.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
- Business Administration Certificate or Diploma in Commerce, Accounting, or Business Management.
- Accounting Payable experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Highly proficient in MS Office.
- Experience with MS Dynamics NAV experience an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Professional, customer service approach to vendor and staff relations.
