Small Growing Residential Property Management Firm, based in Toronto.
We currently have an opening for a self motivated, highly organized, reliable, flexible and capable individual to work as an Accounts Payable Administrator/Bookkeeper within our team.
Key Responsibilities
Process and administer accounts payable
Handle a variety of internal and external vendor inquiries regarding invoice payment
Prepare Government remittances, WSIB, Source Deductions, Corporation Tax, Non-Resident Tax, HST
Prepare Monthly Payroll and source deductions
Prepare monthly management fees for approval
Set up client files and assist with the completion of budgets and administrative planning
Maintain, monitor and reconcile GL accounts including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities and intercompany transfers
Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies, discuss with supervisor or engagement partner to develop resolutions
Communicate with governments regarding information requests, assessments and installments
Preparation of Monthly and Annual Financial Reporting
Maintain an efficient filing system for all payables
Maintain and keep current contractor insurance certificates
Provide support to the Accounting Manager
Other duties as reasonably assigned from time to time
Qualifications
4 years experience in bookkeeping and accounts payable
Accounting diploma, or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Experience with Yardi Voyager, Yardi Elevate and Yardi Payscan software
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong organizational skills
Must be self-motivated
Able to meet deadlines
Able to be resourceful and take the initiative
Able to work as part of a team or independently
Able to prioritize in a multi task environment
