Accounts Receivable Clerk

Summary of Position: Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager, the Accounts Receivable Associate is primarily responsible to ensure the company receives payments for goods and services, and records these transactions accordingly. The Associate is responsible for invoicing, collections, performing credit checks, resolving debits and deductions, RGA, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts, and resolving any discrepancies. This role requires the candidate to be organized, thorough, and have a keen eye for detail.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Full cycle Accounts Receivable functions
• Daily Cash Deposits
• Daily Invoicing
• Outbound collection calls on past due balances to decrease outstanding receivables
• Reconcile customer accounts
• Liaising with internal departments such as sales team to resolve customer disputes
• Conducting credit checks and performing credit analysis
• Prepare and analyze AR ageing reports and other ad hoc reports
• Work with internal departments to provide recommendations on collection strategies
• Cross train on other accounting functions to assist with coverage as may be required from time to time
• Perform other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications:

• University Degree or College Diploma in a qualified Accounting Program
• 3 years Accounts Receivable experience in a medium to large organization, manufacturing company preferred
• Attentive to detail and accurate
• Ability to analyze data
• Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office applications, Excel
• Experience with ERP system; Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively; advanced communication skills, both verbal and written
• Fluent in English
