Afternoon Production Lead Hand

MiTek Canada is growing again and searching for a motivated and experienced Lead hand to oversee our stamping shift on afternoons.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Lead hand will supervise, and coordinate activities of workers engaged in operating a variety of machines to manufacture parts or products.

*This position will work on the Afternoon Shift from 4 pm to 12:30 am Monday to Friday.

Duties include:

• Leadership on the production line (this is a hands-on roll).
• Set an example for others to follow, be willing to help others, and have a good working relationship with all personnel.
• Responsible for all production personnel on their line.
• Train production personnel in their duties.
• Responsible for production personnel’s safety. Ensure that all Safety Policies and Procedures are in place and enforced.
• Monitor work requirements and work assignments of production workers.
• Responsible for the enforcement of Company Policies and Procedures.
• Responsible for the communication of production line needs.
• Organize, monitor and maintain output to meet Customers’ orders.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Experience Required:

• At least 2 years experience in a leadership role, responsible for four or more personnel in a manufacturing environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $31.00 per hour
