Production Lead

Job Description:

The Production Lead role is to ensure the manufacturing activities are achieved on the production floor and to support the Production Manager with the day-to-day operations of the factory.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Assist Production Manager with updating and maintaining the production schedule; monitor and ensure production is on schedule; reports issues/delays to Production Manager

2. Prepare factory daily for production, including removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials

3. Production of liners, steel tanks, covers and protections

4. Ensure quality standards are met by performing quality control on each order

5. Support the Production Manager with inventory control, regular inventory counts and tracking

6. Coordinate shipping and logistics, including receiving of materials

7. Train employees on manufacturing functions; ensures that established policies and procedures are followed

8. Ensure health and safety requirements are met and adhered to

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Previous manufacturing experience; comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes

2. Have or willing to get First Aid and CPR certification; have or willing to get forklift certification

3. Experience and knowledge of shipping and receiving processes

4. Good communication skills

5. Good computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office

6. Willing and able to travel across borders; willing and able to be away from home for short periods (1 week)

7. Willing to work shift work, as needed

Physical Demands:

1. Able to stand for long periods of time

2. Good manual dexterity for the use of common tools and equipment

3. Able to perform physical labour, operate tools and machinery

4. Good hand-eye coordination

5. Frequent heavy lifting (50+lbs)
