Production Lead Hand (Night Shift)

Shah Trading Company is on the lookout for a dynamic Production Lead Hand: to guide our Night Shift: from 5:00 pm to 1:00 am:. This role is your opportunity to lead a dedicated team towards excellence in a fast-paced food processing environment. You'll play a critical role in supervising, motivating, and ensuring safety and quality standards, all while working closely with various departments to streamline operations.

61 Middlefield Road, Scarborough

Shifts: :
Night shift: 5:00 pm to 1:00 am

Duties: :

• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of workers.
• Identify, investigate, correct, and document potential issues and safety problems.
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments or shifts.
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• Confer with management and/or staff to resolve worker issues and complaints.
• Enforce safety and food safety standards.
• Provide motivation for employees, increasing morale.
• Increase worker efficiency and production rates.
• Monitor and assess employee performance.
• Work with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within and between departments.
• Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records / reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
• Provide information for production plans to ensure that production objectives are met.
• Train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policy.
• Coordinate with QC supervisor and ensure warehouse is arranged properly and in the most effective way to maximize utilization of available space
• Ensure FIFO is maintained, and WMS is followed
• Be in charge of the infestation control program by using proven methods like fogging, fumigation, freezing, co2 treatment
• Work with the QC supervisor to ensure sanitation procedures are followed in the warehouse, and production areas
• Prepare production and other reports.
• Approve employee timesheets and time off requests
