Manco HR is looking for a Production Lead Hand for our client in London, ON.
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Production Lead Hand to oversee manufacturing operations and lead a team of production workers. The Production Lead Hand will be responsible for coordinating and supervising production activities, ensuring that production targets are met, and maintaining quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate production activities to meet production targets and deadlines
- Assign tasks to production workers and monitor their performance to ensure efficiency and quality
- Train new employees on production processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to increase productivity and reduce waste
- Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed to support production schedules
- Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control and maintenance, to resolve issues and optimize production processes
- Prepare production reports and documentation as required
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in production management or a related field is a plus
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of production processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Forklift certification and/or experience operating production machinery is an asset
