Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Automotive Service department
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Schedule and assign work to automotive technicians and Service Advisors
- Monitor the progress of repairs and ensure timely completion
- Maintain accurate records of service and repair orders
- Communicate with customers regarding their vehicle's status and any additional repairs needed
- Upsell additional services or maintenance packages to customers
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role as an Automotive Service Manager or Assistant Service Manager or Service Advisor
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance processes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
- Experience working in a dealership environment is preferred
- Proven track record in sales and upselling services or products
- Ability to effectively manage a team of automotive technicians and Service Advisors
- Proficient in cash handling procedures
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
- Ability to diagnose vehicle issues and recommend appropriate repairs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
