Our client, a mid-sized Canadian business law firm is currently seeking a detail-oriented Billing Coordinator, a self-starter to join a fast-paced billing team. In this role, you will be looking after the entire billing cycle in a team of 18, from prebill generation to issuing of bills to clients (internal and external). We are looking for someone who has great organization skills, attention to detail, and to communicate effectively on all levels.
Responsibilities:
- Working with legal assistants and partners to create reports, prebills, and other billing requests
- Reviewing for accuracy on client accounts to ensure client and lawyer guidelines are being followed
- Answer and react to any invoices, billing templates, and billing issues
- Participate with the team to meet the department's goals and exceed the processes and procedures
- Identify improvement opportunities and participate in training
- Create quality work, hold accountability to your work and maintain confidentiality
- Using Aderant as an accounting software as well as MS 365 for various tasks
Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years of related law firm work experience within billing
- Post-secondary education in Accounting/Finance complete
- Excellent under pressure and able to multitask
- Strong systems experience in Aderant and/ or 3E
- Outstanding communication skills- verbal and written
- Must be a natural problem solver and a logical decision maker

Salary: $58,000.00-$68,000.00 per year
