We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a terrific opportunity to make a significant contribution by using your experience to help implement systems, processes and controls for a growing, successful business. You will work closely with the Finance Director and other employees in a friendly and collaborative office setting. As a critical member of the team, you will be responsible for full charge "hands on" accounting including bookkeeping.
Bookkeeping Responsibilities:
· Process customer billing, including generation of invoices and oversight of deposit invoices.
· Monitor A/R aging reports and actively collect on overdue accounts and deposits due.
· Process invoices and maintain A/P record keeping, ensuring timely payment to vendors.
· Prepare and manage vendor deposits as required.
· Ensure monthly closes and prepare and submit sales tax
· Maintain bank reconciliations
· Maintain financial information in the order management system and accounting system.
· Assist with other projects and other administrative duties as needed
· Maintain historical records by eFiling documents
Accounting Responsibilities:
· Produce and review reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and totals by account and check for accuracy in figures, postings, and reports
· Assist with monthly reconciliations and closes & reporting and prepare general ledger entries as required to reflect accruals and accurate work in progress.
· Assist with monthly project budget and profitability review
· Assist in closing out the year-end books and creating journal entries
· Process improvements: streamline current processes to gain operational efficiencies
Skills & Qualifications:
· At least 3 years accounting experience with hands on, full-charge responsibilities. Accounting experience in the construction industry is a big plus.
· Thorough knowledge of and experience with QuickBooks (desktop version is used) and Excel
· Experience with full cycle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, GL and Financial reporting, and all matters relating to same including payroll tax payments and quarterly reports
· Comfortable with paperless financial process.
· Experience in finance in project-based business is a plus
· Experience with sales tax reporting is a plus
· Bilingual is a must with very good verbal and written communications skills
· Detail and results oriented and works well under tight deadlines
· Excellent organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
