Part-Time Bookkeeper

Wanted: Bookkeeper

Organization: Valiquette Academy Foundation, a Canadian Charity helping at-risk children and youth for over a decade through our Academics, Camps, and Success Programmes.

Location: Montreal, 4781 Ave. Van Horne, Across from Metro Plamondon.

Objective: Seeking a bookkeeper who will take a leadership position to create a highly organized system for everything related to finances and taxes for both our charity and the Directors’ personal taxes through QuickBooks and/or Excel. Material will then be brought to our accountant who will produce our financial statements and file with CRA and Quebec Revenue.

Responsibilities:

· Record revenue and expenses

· Reconcile bank statements with QuickBooks

· Create organizational structure to receive digital scans of receipts

· Co-ordinate with the Director and Administrative Assistant

Skills:

· Highly organized, self-motivated, and can share knowledge with others

· Able to create a data entry and digital recording system that is an upgrade from our current system

Schedule

· Start ASAP

· Permanent & part-time

· After initial set-up may work remotely

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• QuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)
• Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
