What you’ll do
It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key responsibilities of the role:
- Inventory Management and Control; reviews supply requirement, usage and trends for optimal levels during peak and regular season
- Coordinates purchase orders across Departments including managing and distributing supply efficiently throughout the DC
- Collaborates with Purchasing Specialist and other internal customers providing weekly reporting and updates on supply usage, inventory on hand and assist with purchase orders/replenishments
- Enters purchase requisitions and orders into Oracle; validates purchase orders, packing slips, invoice pricing and quantities delivered/received
- Maintains compliance with Oracle entries with direction from Finance partners
- Conducts year end inventory and may participate in special projects or other duties as required
What you’ll need
- Minimum high school education
- Minimum one (1) related experience in supplies, purchase orders or inventory control preferred; distribution centre or retail experience an asset
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability communicate and interpret information accurately
- Able to develop and build relationships with internal and external partners / team members; Must have excellent customer service skills including efficiently and effectively responding to inquires or resolving any issues
- Computer skills including data entry, Microsoft Office, knowledge of accounting applications (i.e. Oracle).
- Ability to lift boxes/ objects fifty (50) pounds and above as well as use Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is required; up to and including pump trucks, carts, ladders, etc.
