Event Manager

Don’s Bakery is a bakery located in the heart of Muskoka in the beautiful town of Bala. Established 75 years ago, in 1947, we are well-known for our delicious, made-from-scratch baked goods alongside our friendly customer service. We are seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working individual to join our team working at local festivals, events and farmer’s markets.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the creation, marketing and communication of events at Don’s Bakery
• Assist in set-up and tear-down of events (loading and unloading)
• Travel to various locations for events (must be comfortable driving a cargo van on highway)
• Coordinate and assist in product selection and quantities for weekly events
• Follow all company safety and security policies
• Sell and upsell products
• Promote brand and help increase awareness
• Follow up post event within 24 hours

• Able to carry 40 lbs
• Willingness to work outdoors and evenings and weekends

Other Details:

• This is a seasonal position from May-October or May-August (depending on your availability
• Those who are 25 years old or older with clean driving record will be elligible for a higher rate of pay (to be negotiated)
• Additional option to work onsite at the bakery during non-event days
