Director of First Impressions

To provide a welcoming, friendly and personable first impression to every potential client, member, vendor and partner of Aurora Athletic Club
Summary
As Director of 1st Impressions, you will be the face and voice of Aurora Athletic Club to clients, callers, visitors and vendors. In addition to representing AAC in a most professional and energetic manner, you will maintain office/reception operations through a variety of tasks while pitching in to support the management and training staff with overflow of general needs. The ideal candidate comes with an out-going personality, team-oriented attitude and embraces helping others. Key Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors, ensuring they feel welcomed; log their attendance and ensure they are assisted accordingly.
- Answering main phone number and any incoming calls that don’t go directly to individual extensions
- Monitor exercise room scheduling and availability, as well as properly set up for member events/meetings and post-event clean-up/organization assistance if necessary
- Oversee reception area, maintaining organized, professional appearance
- Organize daily mail pick up, distribution
- Manage member correspondence/calling as necessary per the direction of the General Manager(s)
- Assist management with marketing and administrative duties, including but not limited to;
- Marketing; calling campaigns, mailings and act as backup for presentation and binding projects.
- Practices/Consultants: Typing mailings and proposals, including vendor letters, etc.
- Liaison with building management and maintenance personnel on requests, issues, inquiries
- Supervise member validation, when necessary
- Maintaining daily cleanliness of the reception desk, coffee bar area, free weight area
- Member experience champion and Company cheerleader
- Additional duties at the managers discretion
Qualifications
- Must enjoy interacting with people and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong Customer Service Orientation and Interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (includes Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook Email and Calendar functions)
- Ability to prioritize and organize assigned tasks, completing projects under timelines, with accuracy
Willingness and ability to learn and apply new skills in order to increase value to organization
Regular Shift Duties:
Walk Floor regularly (Hourly at minimum) – spot check
Tidy Change Rooms/Class rooms
Laundry/Towel service
Organize/Replace dumbbell weights (If able)
Greet Members – ensure everyone checks in.
Spot check towel dispensers and cleaning fluid
Marketing/Call duties as per instructions
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $16.55-$17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
