Your mission at GardaWorld:
GardaWorld has an exciting opportunity to be a Health & Safety Administrator. You will provide health and safety advice, support, recommendations and solutions to GardaWorld clients as part of the company's health and safety support service. This role will ensure that GardaWorld's operations and facilities are in compliance with all relevant legal requirements and support the OHS system for all branches across the Prairies. This position offers many developmental opportunities while working on a variety of projects and challenges and will be based in Calgary with travel.

Reporting to the Regional Director of Health & Safety your duties will include:

-Prepare and maintain data, records and reports as it relates to Health & Safety;
-Assist with JHSC meetings and conduct meeting minutes;
-Respond to internal and external health and safety related inquiries or requests and provide assistance;
-Apply sound judgment in directing people inquiries appropriately, escalating and resolving requests adhering to team mandates;
-Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the HR department;
-Work in compliance with OH&S acts and regulations;
-Promote a positive culture of health and safety in the workplace
-Perform other duties as assigned.

-Strong communication, written and verbal skills
-Strong organizational skills to ensure goals are met
-Excellent time management skills
-Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office suite programs, Outlook)
-Completed a degree/diploma in Occupational Health and Safety is required
-Minimum 1 year experience in an administrative role in health and safety preferred
-Knowledge of OHSA is required
-This position is Mon-Fri day position. Will require some weekends and evenings when required.
