JOB PURPOSE
Coordinate the activities in the Labour Relations department. Provide a wide variety of Labour Relations support and administration to the Labour Relations team and be the first point of contact for union, shop supervisor/manager and employee inquiries.

-Assist the LR Manager with coordination of files, dates and attendees for arbitration and human rights claims.
-Assist in preparation and research for collective
bargaining.
-Recommend process improvements which improve the efficiency and accuracy of processes and
programs.
-Maintain Activ (Attendance Management Software) (changes, new hires, terminations).
-Work collaboratively with other departments to deliver an exceptional employee
experience.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

-1-2 years of HR
experience
-Diploma/Certificate in Human Resources
Management or equivalent experience
-Knowledge of employment legislation, Health & Safety legislation and WSIB requirements as asset
-Ability to exercise tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
-Strong computer skills particularly in the use of MS Office.
-Detail oriented and ability to work to tight timelines.
-Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with employees at various levels of the organization.
The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $59,000 and $86,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
