IT Support Technician

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $18.00/$22.00 hour

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift

Location:
- Greater Sudbury, ON: current resident or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- 1-2 years experience working in an IT department.
Education:
- High School Diploma
- Vocational diploma, college certificate or diploma in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation or related field.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support Internal staff IT requests (workstations, conference room, software, network, printers etc.),
- Support Server and Network Infrastructure for office workers,
- Configuring new hardware/software for internal employees,
- Assist in selecting and purchasing hardware,
- Administer access rights and permissions for internal staff,
- Assist with maintenance of Windows and Linux servers,
- Support Branch offices remotely (North Bay, Timmins, Sault Ste. Marie, Thunder Bay, Orillia,
- Administer IT policies,
- Administer Microsoft user accounts and software subscriptions (Office 365, eset antivirus, Microsoft Dynamics GP, SiteDocs, Folks HR)
- Assist with the implementation of software installations and deployments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Some IT networking & electrical experience an asset,
- A valid driver’s license with acceptable driver abstract,
- Ability to work with small power tools, mechanically inclined,
- Excellent English communication skills, spoken and written,
- Awareness of occupational health and safety and quality of work,
- Must pass the security police check,
