Junior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• This role is responsible for accounting and financial reporting for a number of Canadian entities and their subsidiaries.
• Process revenue accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Manage month-end close for local and Group accounts.
• Prepare financial reports for all parent entities and their subsidiaries.
• Reconciliation for balance sheet accounts and sub-ledgers.
• Report and reconcile inter-company accounts.
• Prepare working files for GST/HST, internal/external audit, and Statistics Canada/other statutory reporting.
• Data entry and maintenance in accounting systems including Quickbooks and SAP systems.
• Assist with payroll processing.
• Participate in finance and accounting projects as directed.
• Provide back-up to other finance and administration functions as needed.

Qualifications and skills:

• You have a University degree and minimum three (3) years of accounting experience in Canada.
• You have completed or are near completing your CPA designation.
• Strong communication skills, well organized, ability to encourage and motivate others, and enjoy working directly with people across the organization.
• Professional approach to customer service coupled with a strong work ethic and natural team aptitude.
• Quick learner and computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, ERP system accounting modules).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $80,000.00 per year
