Primary Responsibilities
· To work with the Executive and the Board of Directors to develop and maintain the NLIPC social media networks (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
· To monitor various forums available and post them on the social media accounts including current and relevant information, pictures, bulletins, and other promotion and key messages.
· To work with the website provider to update and maintain the website.
· To update and maintain the website with such things as new information, resources and an annual calendar of Provincial and National Injury Prevention events.
· To serve as a point of contact and link between the Executive, Board of Directors, paid employees, volunteers, general membership, and external partners, including potential sponsors and Government of NL by monitoring and managing the NLIPC email address.
· To work in collaboration with the Executive, Board members, other staff, and Working Groups to develop social media/promotional campaigns and a newsletter (spring-summer/fall/winter).
· To support the Executive by handling clerical and administrative duties, including preparing an annual work plan for NLIPC activities; monitoring the progress on the Strategic Plan; preparing correspondence related to scheduling and notification of executive meetings and the AGM; development and circulation of agendas and call-in details for meetings; and, maintaining/updating administrative documents such as Terms of Reference, By-Laws, Incorporation documents and Board of Directors documents.
· To develop and maintain a document for tracking payments due each fiscal year and make payments as required (i.e., insurance, annual memberships, meeting and office expenses, post office box) and assist the Treasurer as required.
· To coordinate information for the annual funding grant application, the annual grant funding final report, the annual report and the annual financial statement.
· To distribute information and notices to the Executive, Board Members, and general membership via email.
· To contribute information and support preparation and formatting of the annual report.
· To develop and maintain the general membership list in coordination with the Administrative Coordinator.
· To assist in the recruitment of paid employees, volunteers, and general members as required.
· To identify new partners and contacts for NLIPC and follow-up as required.
· To seek opportunities for research, funding, and to promote and showcase NLIPC.
· To participate in public events (i.e., trade shows, promotional events, launch events) as required to promote NLIPC and safety and injury prevention messages.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Salary: From $20.00 per hour
