```Job Summary```
We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Medical Office and possess strong administrative skills. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing patient records, scheduling appointments and surgeries, and assisting with various administrative tasks.
```Duties```
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Schedule appointments and maintain the office calendar
- Collect patient information and update electronic medical records
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing processes
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits and ensure cleanliness and organization
- Assist with inventory management of office supplies and equipment
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
```Requirements```
- Previous experience working in a Medical Office or similar healthcare setting is preferred
- Proficient in using Telus Health PS Suites preferable
- Familiarity with medical receptionist duties and phone systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in French and English
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
