Medical Office Administrator and Receptionist wanted; job description includes:
- Establish a welcoming environment for patients of Morningstar Family Medicine
- Taking patient vitals
- Weighing and measuring infants
- Administering vaccinations and other injections
- Putting patients into exam rooms
- Document in EMR regarding patient encounters and phone conversations
- Tidying and cleaning exam rooms between patients
- Communicate with patients in person and by phone to schedule appointments and act as an intermediary between patients and the clinic physicians
- Maintain the physicians’ daily schedules in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Liaise with other offices and pharmacies utilizing telephone, mail, and fax
- Ensure up to date demographic information for clinic patients
- Download and scan test results into the EMR
- Assist with accounting and billing as directed
- Monitor inventory of office supplies and assist with ordering
Work/Educational Requirement
- MOA Certification or equivalent
- Experience as an office MOA preferred 1+ years
Skills
- PSS EMR experience not required but preferred
- Good communication skills and patient-centered attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16.55-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
