Medical Office Assistant

Medical Office Administrator and Receptionist wanted; job description includes:

• Establish a welcoming environment for patients of Morningstar Family Medicine
• Taking patient vitals
• Weighing and measuring infants
• Administering vaccinations and other injections
• Putting patients into exam rooms
• Document in EMR regarding patient encounters and phone conversations
• Tidying and cleaning exam rooms between patients
• Communicate with patients in person and by phone to schedule appointments and act as an intermediary between patients and the clinic physicians
• Maintain the physicians’ daily schedules in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Liaise with other offices and pharmacies utilizing telephone, mail, and fax
• Ensure up to date demographic information for clinic patients
• Download and scan test results into the EMR
• Assist with accounting and billing as directed
• Monitor inventory of office supplies and assist with ordering

Work/Educational Requirement

• MOA Certification or equivalent
• Experience as an office MOA preferred 1+ years

Skills

• PSS EMR experience not required but preferred
• Good communication skills and patient-centered attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.55-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
