Job description

The Cooper Clinic is looking for a full-time Medical Office receptionist and office administrator. The ideal candidate would also have managerial experience.

We are a plastic surgery clinic and medical spa, and therefore the ideal candidate must have the flexibility to work in both environments. They must have great communication and strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Knowledge of billing and experience in a Medical Office is preferred but not required. Sales and customer service experience is also an asset, as the successful candidate will be required to advise customers on products and services offered at the clinic.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a Medical Office Assistant Certificate Program from an accredited Institution, or equivalent on the job experience, is preferred
  • Experience using Quickbooks and EMR is preferred
  • Must have experience with medical booking and some basic medical terminology
  • Typing skills with exceptional versatility with Word/Excel/Power Point/Office
  • Familiarity with medical jargon and precise spellings

Job Description

· welcoming and registering patients

· answering telephone, arranging and confirming appointments

· corresponding with referring physician offices in a timely manner

· responding to emails and online inquiries

· providing advice to patients and clients

· ordering supplies

· reconciling invoices

· collecting payments from patients

· transferring all paper data to EMR

· scanning and faxing

· corresponding with labs and diagnostics to expedite patient care/reports

· efficiently escort and prepare patient for physician encounter

· personal assistant to physician in professional matters

Work Environment

· Hourly salary is competitive and will be based on experience.
