Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist

Busy Medical office in North Toronto is seeking a Reliable, Personable and Professional individual for a Medical Office Assistant position.

Potential for a Long-Term Career to the successful candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES (To include, but not limited to the following):

• Providing Clerical support, including greeting patients, answering multi-line phone system and answering inquiries within the Medical office
• Booking new appointments, cancelling and modifying existing appointments, File maintenance
• Entering patient demographics and relevant data for registration in database
• Liaising with suppliers and Maintain inventory levels
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidyness of entire office including treatment rooms, reception area, waiting room

QUALIFICATIONS:

• MOA certification AND/OR Medical Office Assistant Experience
• Experience with database would be an asset
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Efficient word processing and keyboarding skills
• Proven attention to detail will clinch this position for the successful candidate
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Clear, Strong Telephone voice
• Medical terminology is helpful but not necessary - we will train.
• Computer Proficiency with experience in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word
