Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments, providing accurate information to patients
- Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow-up appointments as needed
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information about clinic services
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as Epic or Dentrix
- Familiarity with medical terminology and front desk procedures in a healthcare setting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
