Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Compression Engineering, the Project Engineer - Compression is primarily responsible for P&ID development, Bill of Material creation, General Arrangement Layout, engineering calculations, verification of scope and shop support during fabrication and assembly.
Duties must be performed consistent with company mission and values and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties
- Review client specifications and sold scope of supply to ensure client satisfaction
- Provide details of RFI (Request for Information) to assist Project Manager to come up with costs for Change Orders
- Conduct engineering calculations using Enerflex proprietary programs (sizing of vessels, lines, control valves, PSV’s, etc.)
- Develop the P&ID and BOM to meet project scope
- Understand issues and seek help from Project Leaders before the issue becomes critical
- Coordinate with vessel design, Procurement and Production personnel
- Works closely with Project Manager to maintain cost, deliverables & implementation of contract revisions
- Dependent on job scope, Project Management duties and working with clients on scope changes, schedule and PCR’s (Project Change Requests) may be required
- Red line drawings at end of the job to provide accurate information for As-Built Drawings
- Reviews O&M manuals and ensure accuracy
Qualifications
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience with an Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma
- Relevant Gas Compression engineering experience
- Preference for P. Eng designation
- Must have working knowledge of Instrumentation and Controls
- Knowledge of ASME, ANSI and other common codes used in pressure process equipment is desirable
- Knowledge of Torsional Vibration and Acoustic analysis is desirable
- Registration with a recognized Engineering/Technologist body is required
- Strong interpersonal, time management and organizational skills are mandatory with demonstrated focus on quality, accuracy and thoroughness
- Limited travel to customer offices and sites
