Receptionist/Administrator

Playbow Animal Rehab Clinic (PARC) works on a veterinarian referral basis to provide physical rehabilitation services to animals in the SD&G Counties. We are dedicated to helping pets live a healthier longer life, returning them to function, sport or leisurely activities with the help of evidence based non-invasive therapies and treatments such as laser therapy, manual therapy, therapeutic land exercises, hydrotherapy on an underwater treadmill and more.

PARC is looking for an organized, energetic, animal advocate to join their team on a part-time basis. The primary responsibilities of this role remain administrative. Assisting the practitioner during treatments will be required on an as needed basis and can include holding certain positions for sustained periods of time (ie. bent over, kneeling, sitting on the ground, etc).

Administrative Duties:

• Greet clients and maintain clinic flow
• Create client file and schedule consultations
• Take payments and schedule follow up appointments
• Handle inquiries by phone and email
• Request records and referrals from veterinary clinics
• Maintain clinic supplies and record inventory
• Bookkeeping (track expenses, transactions, receipts, appointments, etc)

Rehab Asisstant Duties:

• Tidy treatment area between clients
• Prepare distraction snacks
• Blow dry a dog after their hydrotherapy session
• Help restrain/distract pets during treatment

Education/Skills Required:

• Postsecondary education
• Excellent organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multitask
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Comfortable around animals (primarily dogs and cats)
• Physically fit and able to lift 30lbs

Preferred Experience/Skills (not mandatory but will be considered an asset):

• Previous experience with Jane App and Quickbooks Online
• Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or medical facility
• Previous experience working with animals
• Previous experience in an office or administrative role
• Bilingual (both written and oral)

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Every Weekend
