OVERVIEW
Wise Nadel Design is a full-scope interior design firm based in Toronto, specializing in high-end residential design. We’re currently looking for a well-spoken and well-organized individual to serve as our firm’s receptionist and administrative assistant. The successful candidate will have experience handling communications in a busy office environment. Knowledge of, and exposure to, the interior design field is also an asset.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Proven work experience in administrative, clerical, or reception roles.
- High school diploma and any additional post-secondary qualifications in administrative services.
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to deal courteously and effectively with all staff, clients, and vendors.
- Excellent computer skills with a specific proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Strong typing and note-taking skills.
- Well-organized, with attention to detail, clarity, and the ability to multi-task.
- Able to take direction but work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Able to implement and follow office management systems and protocols.
- A friendly, welcoming, and professional disposition.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides general reception, administrative, and clerical services to the company principals and staff.
- Greets clients and vendors and responds to all general inquiries.
- Manages and distributes all general incoming correspondence (phone, mail, email, and deliveries).
- Maintains internal filing systems (both hard copy and electronic).
- Maintains the organization of the office and sample library.
- Assists in scheduling meetings and appointments for the company principals, and ordering lunch as required.
- Maintains a general level of cleanliness in the office, ensuring kitchenettes and bathrooms are presentable.
- Orders supplies and runs company-related errands.
