Job description

We are seeking an Bookkeeping Assistant to report to the Business Manager, to provide accounting and administrative support.

The ideal candidate must be well organized, proactive, hard-working and should be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities of the Office Administrator include:

  • Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
  • Coordinate bank deposits
  • Communicate/coordinate with suppliers and managers
  • Pay supplier invoices
  • Prepare and file scheduled tax filings
  • Manage payroll
  • Provide general office support (e.g. filing management, scanning, sort incoming mail, answer and direct phone calls)
  • Count Cash
  • Reconcile daily sales
  • Perform other duties as required
  • The Ideal Candidate:
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word)
  • Experience working in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll and payroll reports
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with prioritizing and multi-tasking abilities to meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Self-starter attitude with an ability to work in an office environment without constant guidance and direction
  • Open and adaptable to providing all types of support to the office and fellow team members as required
  • A proven track record of successful problem-solving and able to anticipate and/or troubleshoot problems with a solution

Hours and Compensation:

  • Monday to Friday 9AM to 5PM
  • 2 weeks paid vacation
  • Health benefits package available upon eligibility
  • Required:
  • Clerical/Bookkeeping: 2 years
  • Quickbooks Online accounting system
  • Candidate must have their own vehicle

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $22.82 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Adminstrative Assistant: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Bookkeeping: 2 years (Preferred)

Education:

  • Secondary School (Required)

Location:

  • Blue Mountains, ON (Preferred)

Language:

  • English (Required)
