Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Junior Accountant will play a key role in supporting our financial operations. You will work closely with the Senior Accountants and management to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions, record-keeping, and reporting. Your responsibilities will include assisting in various financial activities, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial analysis.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for processing intercompany invoices
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Resolve customer billing inquiries and disputes in a timely manner.
- Generate customer invoices and manage invoice records.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate records of customer invoices and payments.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries.
- Assist with reconciling bank statements.
- Post cash receipts
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Assist with financial reports and statements as needed.
- Assist in the analysis of financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of departmental budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
- Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintain organized and complete financial records.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of all accounting transactions.
- Participate in financial projects and tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of proven experience in the same or similar role.
- Working towards CPA or similar certification preferred.
- Experience using Quickbooks Online.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Advanced understanding of Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
