JOB SUMMARY
Coordinates accounting and financial administrative activities at the project and corporate level. Supports Company Controller with day to day accounting tasks, as well as, supports Project Managers with accounts payable and receivable support.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
- Manage accounts payable- data entry, approval collection, payment runs by cheque or EFT.
- Three way matching of invoices and supporting receiving and purchase order process.
- Assist with monthly invoicing preparation and accounts receivable tracking and collections.
- Bank deposits, bank and credit card reconciliation.
- Manage timecard entry into the accounting system for employees and equipment.
- Processing and payment of any union dues and management of benefits of fringes associated with Staff and Craft employees.
- Prepare cheque runs and ensure all cheques are recorded in the general ledger.
- Filing of documents related to AP, AR and taxes.
- General Ledger coding and journal entries.
- Setup new vendors in Acumatica.
- Works with project personnel to expedite payables and resolve issues.
- Review, process and control employee expense reimbursement requests.
- Preparing reports from Acumatica and supporting project teams with preparation of key performance cost reporting.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution
LANGUAGE, MATH AND REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to read and interpret a variety of financial and detailed cost data reports.
- Ability to read and understand general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions whether in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in non-standard situations.
- Ability to write business correspondence to clients, Owners or members of the business community.
- Ability to write and verbally respond to common inquiries or requests from Management, co-workers, regulatory agencies or Owners.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Management, clients, Owners and/or members of the business community.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratio, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to interpret and understand an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or a variety of business diagram forms.
