Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using the office's phone system
- Manage patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Verify insurance information and collect co-payments from patients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Have knowledge on how to take and report patient vitals
- Have experience using EMR at medical clinics
Skills:
- Experience working in a Medical Office
- Proficiency in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Knowledge of front desk procedures and customer service principles
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as Epic or Dentrix
- Strong administrative skills, including data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
