```Job Summary```
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Medical Office and possess knowledge of medical terminology. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our medical practice.
```Responsibilities```
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule appointments and manage the medical calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or route calls
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR) using Accuro & Epic software
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Assist with billing and payment collection
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked
- Sterilize medical instruments and equipment following proper protocols
- Assist the physician during procedures as needed
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and photocopying
```Experience```
- Previous experience working in a Medical Office or medical setting is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using medical software such as Accuro or Epic is highly desired
- Strong administrative skills, including knowledge of office procedures and phone systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
