Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Office Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing payroll processing in both unionized and non-unionized environments, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees. Additionally, this role involves setting up employees, managing health and retirement benefits, handling accounts payable, and performing other calculations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
· Manage end-to-end payroll processes for 100+ unionized and non-unionized employees with strict bi-weekly payroll deadlines.
· Become familiar with the Collective Agreement and Labour Code Standards and apply specific rules and regulations
Employee Setup and Benefits:
· Coordinate onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring accurate input into the payroll system, including any changes in employment status
Benefits Administration:
· Manage health and retirement benefits and collaborate with benefits providers to resolve issues and enhance employee satisfaction.
Accounts Payable
· Manage accounts payable functions, including processing vendor invoices and payments.
Other Payroll/Administrative Duties as required.
Qualifications:
· Certificate or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Proven experience as an Office Manager or similar role.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· In-depth knowledge of payroll and benefits administration, including unionized environments.
· Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
· Proficient in payroll software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in the use of computer programs for:
· Word processing
· Excel Spreadsheets
· E-mail
· Payroll and accounting software
Proficiency in the use of office equipment:
· Computer
· Voice messaging systems
· Fax
· Photocopier

Working Conditions:
· Office Managers work in an office environment.
· Office Managers usually work a standard work week (8:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday).

This position is NOT a Bargaining Unit position.

Salary: $57,420.04-$64,602.72 per year
