The Borough is looking for a passionate, hard working and driven individual to join our kitchen team. You will following our Executive Chef’s specifications and guidelines and have the opportunity to showcase your creative nature. The successful candidates will employ culinary skills and play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Produce high quality plates both design and taste.
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely manner that meets our quality standards.
- Communicate supplies to stock inventory appropriately.
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
- Manage and work all stations within the kitchen i.e., grill, appetizers, entrees, desserts, dishes.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a cook.
- Able to work under pressure on a busy kitchen line.
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
- Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions.
- Familiar with industry’s best practices.
- Current Food Safe Certification.
- Able to work within the hours of Tuesday-Saturday 12pm-10pm and Sunday 10am-8pm.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
Schedule:

- Evening shift

Experience:
- cooking: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
