Receptionist / Administrative Assistant
On-Track Railway Operations is a railroad material handling company based north of Edmonton. We have been in business for over 30 years, with our current operations spanning coast to coast across Canada.
The Receptionist is the first point of contact for customers, visitors, and members of the general public. The receptionist must maintain a professional image when answering and directing calls and greeting visitors in a prompt and efficient manner. The Receptionist is responsible for providing accounting and managerial support where needed, assisting with meetings, and maintaining office supplies and equipment. A main function of the Receptionist position is to provide support in booking travel and accommodations for our field employees.
Some of the Duties to manage:
- Answering and screening phone calls
- Various clerical tasks such as photocopying, filing, document management and distribution for employees, including couriers
- Maintenance of calendars and scheduling of meetings
- Maintenance of office supply inventory and equipment
- Communicating with crews across Canada
- Booking travel arrangements and hotels
- Maintaining and updating company website
- Assisting in executive administrative duties as required
We are looking for the following:
- Minimum 2 years administration experience
- Familiar with privacy laws (PIPPEDA)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times; high level of integrity
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – extensive knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word necessary
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Dynamics
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong time management skills, professionalism and good customer service skills
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Motivated to take on additional projects and learn new skills

- Standard business hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
