Nicholson is currently looking for a Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to join our Finance team in Sidney, BC.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Controller, we are looking for an Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to join our finance team. This individual will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day duties of the finance department and ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Meeting and greeting customers and suppliers.
- Answering and screening phone calls.
- Sorting mail.
- Booking meetings and organizing lunches / meals.
- Ordering supplies and groceries.
- Support the local management team with setting up client meetings.
- Perform or backup for general administrative duties.
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables and accounts payable data.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Customer service orientation
- Highly organized
- Friendly and outgoing
- Good communication and soft skills
- Data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Team Player with can do attitude
- Some post-secondary education, considered an asset
- Work experience in an administrative role, considered an asset
- Experience working with an ERP System is, considered an asset
Availability
This is a full-time, on-site position with a flexible starting date.
Office hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm.
