This role will require you to work with a rotation of a rotation of 8 days in camp, 6 days out. This role is ideal if you are a new NSCO designation (or in progress) as well as possess some previous Remote Site camp experience. This role will require you to work with a shift between 6:30 pm - 6:30 am supporting the janitorial team.
As the Safety Administrator for our site, you will work with a team to provide your great safety training skills, support and knowledge to the Sodexo site staff. Our site provides all janitorial services across the camp so you will support them through their daily activities. Sodexo offers travel to/from the site.

Job Description
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Implementation of H&S program at site
- Understanding Client H&S program to ensure compliance
- Implementation of Hazard control
- Completion of risk assessment
- Daily Toolbox talks
- Employee Safety training (FLHA.s, HID, s)
- Spot checks on compliance of FLHA and HID • Updating and completion of all SDS binders and PPE requirements
- Audits and updates of task specific SOPS
- Maintaining IMS (internal systems) reporting
- Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable legislation and applicable standards,
- Coaching, mentoring and implementation of the HS&E programs
- Train and participate in all incidents or accidents that all are reported on a timely basis
- Ensure new hires are orientated to the Site-specific orientation H&S, and all require documentation is completed accurately.
- Completing and updating of training matrix
- Ensure safety boards with postings including but not limited to: Health and safety policy,
- Review safety obligations of the clients and ensure they are carried out as per the terms
- Ensure all Joint Health and safety Committees and members are trained and aware of their roles
- Responsible for quality assurance
- Any other duties required from the on-site management team
Qualifications
- 1-2 years Safety experience
- NSCO Designation or equivalent safety Designation
- Experience with Alberta compliance
- Highly Organized and detailed orientated
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, practically in manipulation of spreadsheet
- Ability to meet deadlines. Work under pressure with interruptions and conflicting priorities
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer services skills
- Ability to identify and respect confidential information
- Eager to learn and take on new challenges
- Team orientated
